On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the Science Education Study Program of FPMIPA UPI conducted a community service activity in collaboration with the Samarinda City Education Office. The event took place at the Ki Hajar Dewantara Hall and brought together 61 teacher participants.
The activity was enriched by the presence of distinguished speakers: Prof. Dr. phil. Ari Widodo, M.Ed., Prof. Dr. Ida Kaniawati, M.Si., Prof. Dr. Riandi, M.Si., and Prof. Dr. Asep Kadarohman, M.Si. They shared valuable insights on how teachers can design meaningful learning experiences and integrate deep learning approaches, STEM, and ESD in their classrooms.
Through interactive discussions and knowledge sharing, teachers were encouraged to explore strategies that go beyond factual knowledge, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world awareness among students. This program reflects UPI’s strong commitment to supporting teacher development across Indonesia, including Samarinda, in order to advance science education that is more impactful, sustainable, and relevant to today’s challenges.
