Profile of Study Programme

The International Science Education Program (IPSE) is a study program under the UPI Faculty of Mathematics
and Natural Sciences Education. This program was established in 2009 to meet the need for globally
competent science teachers. IPSE has been accredited by BAN PT (2023-2028) and AQAS international
accreditation (2022-2028). Profile of IPSE graduates are becoming Science Educators and Practitioners who
are competent to teach in schools local/international with a sustainability perspective. Graduate
competencies include mastering Science TPACK, English language skills, carrying out research, managing
science laboratory, being an entrepreneur, and having a sustainability perspective.

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).

Mission of Study Programme

(1) Pursuing an undergraduate program that prepares globally competitive science educators oriented
towards Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
(2) Carrying out research to apply science education science oriented to Education for Sustainable
Development (ESD).
(3) Organizing community service services based on science education research oriented to Education for
Sustainable Development (ESD).
(4) Organizing the internationalization of undergraduate education through partnerships in the fields of
education, research and service.

Goals of Study Programme

(1) Producing competent and globally competitive science educators.
(2) Generating research capable of developing innovative educational theories and scientific knowledge in
science education.
(3) Providing professional and sustainable services to the community to address issues related to science
education.
(4) Establishing collaborations with institutions both domestically and internationally through networking in
teaching, research, and student affairs.
