After more than 10 years of teaching in the International Program on Science Education, Dr. Mary Margaret Thomas, M. Sc., decided to come back to her home country. And to appreciate all the dedication that has been done, the Paturai Tineung Dr. Mary Margaret Thomas, M. Sc., was held on Friday, January 24th, 2025, in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education. Paturai Tineung is taken from the Sundanese language which means a farewell event that aims to show affection between people who are separated.  Participants who attended were not only active IPSE students but also lecturers in the Science Education study program, IPSE alumni, S2 and S3 Science Education students, and also the vice dean of student affairs of FPMIPA UPI.

The event began with a welcoming speech from the vice dean for student affairs of FPMIPA UPI, then continued by the Head of Science Education study program, lecturer representatives, student representatives, alumni representatives, and closed by Dr. Mary Margaret Thomas, M.Sc. In addition, the event was also filled with video screenings, mini games, special performances from three active IPSE batches, and giving a memento from the study program.

This event was held not only to appreciate all her hard work during her time at IPSE but also to create one more beautiful memory that can be remembered and convey the gratitude of everyone in a more appropriate way.
