On Thursday, 13 November 2025, the Science Education community at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) welcomed representatives from Yayasan Habibi Bina Cendikia for a benchmarking and laboratory visitation program. The visit was part of the foundation’s early preparation to develop an international-class program, with UPI, particularly the International Program on Science Education (IPSE), serving as a reference model.

The event began with a warm welcome session at the IPSE meeting room, where Eka Cahya Prima delivered an overview of the IPSE profile, curriculum, and international-oriented learning strategies. The visiting team from Yayasan Habibi Bina Cendikia then shared a presentation about their school profile, vision, and future development plans, especially regarding the establishment of international classes.

Following the opening session, participants visited four IPA (science) laboratories, observing various aspects of laboratory management, safety procedures, and instructional implementation. The visit also included a direct observation of an ongoing chemistry practicum, giving the visitors firsthand insight into how laboratory activities are facilitated within IPSE’s internationally oriented learning environment.

This benchmarking activity highlighted the commitment of both institutions to strengthening science education quality, fostering collaboration, and exploring new pathways to support the development of globally competitive learning programs.
